scattered blogging
My apologies for the lack of quality blog activity lately. I was away in NS for a little while, now I’m headed off in a few hours for another Kate Rogers band UK tour extravaganza. Should be fun.
I’ve heard some great music lately though, and here’s what I’ll be listening to on the planeĀ -
Dartmouth’s pride and joy. 3 discs of all good songs, it’s totally crazy and ambitious that someone can do this. He’s producing the next David Myles record that we’re starting in October, and we’re all super excited.
I can’t believe I’ve never listened to Nick Lowe. Cleverest song writing I’ve heard in a long long time. There’s a tune called Long Limbed Girl on this record that makes me wish I knew someone like that so I could send her that song about her.
Not just one of my favorite records, but one that I’ve probably listened to over years more then any other album I own. I love Paul Simon, and I put this away for awhile, but it’s back in full effect.
Totally agressive and crazy electronic music from Clark. This record sound completely insane and gets me all angry and excited and somehow really happy.
Ok, I’ll blog when I can, but my wordpress iphone app is in need of some serious updating and isn’t really working right now, so it may be tricky. I’ll do what I can.
Also, go to www.christinebougie.com. She’s one of my favorite musicians period, and she just launched her blog/website. It’s awesome like her and her records.
