cellphone graveyard

Managed to get the 4th part of the project done, this one using just some cell phone tones. as usual I went in with an idea then scrapped it because it just wasn’t happening. All the other pieces have been super rhythm heavy, so I went for ambient this morning and ended up getting what I think of as a soundtrack to where dead cell phones go. Think piles and piles for miles and miles of disregarded blackberries and those little Nokias and even dinosaur car phones with the base and cord attached. It’s 2 minutes of lonely cell phone calls to their former owners, aching to be put back into a warm pocket and be taken away from this technological purgatory. Jesus. And now I think I need to go outside and talk to a human.

ps – it’s better with headphones. xo
